We’re currently looking for a Product Designer to lead our product design strategy and implementation. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the entire Cake experience from product to brand. What You’ll Do
- Lead user experience and user interface (UX/UI) design for the Cake platform
- Design high-fidelity mockups and prototypes that prioritize usability, conversion rates, and development efficiency
- Work closely with the founders and engineering team to craft a user-centric design language
- Collaborate on marketing and sales assets to strengthen Cake’s overall brand identify
- Gather user feedback and ensure the platform adheres to accessibility compliance standards
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a product design role
- Excellent knowledge of user-centered design principles
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into intuitive user experiences
- Experience building user personas and translating them into actionable design decisions
- Experience with design tools like Figma and a passion for staying up-to-date on design trends
- Strong emotional intelligence, coupled with creativity and a drive to innovate
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Prior experience designing products at a technical or data-focused company is a plus
- Generalist design skills to create impactful branded assets are a plus
- Cake is an NYC-based company. We are hybrid with 2-3 days per week in the office.
