Cake is hiring a Platform Engineer to architect our explosive growth. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring the continued delivery of high quality software, accelerating platform development velocity, and crafting a user-friendly experience for customers. What You’ll Do
- Architect and implement solutions to significantly reduce POC and conversion upgrade lead times for integrated components
- Deliver impactful solutions that contribute to measurable improvements in key business metrics like CSAT, NPS, and NDR
- Streamline deployment process to improve metrics such as lead time to deploy, deploy frequency, and change failure rate
- Own the customer-facing developer experience, building intuitive tools and documentation to streamline development efforts
- Champion best practices for scalability, ensuring the Cake platform can handle explosive growth
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in platform or infrastructure engineering
- Proven track record of solving complex software problems at scale
- Deep knowledge of platform engineering principles, ideally in Kubernetes and/or Terraform
- Self-starter with infectious enthusiasm, an out-of-the-box thinker who sees opportunities and solutions
- Prior engineering leadership experience is a plus
- Prior security or ML experience is a plus
- Cake is a NYC-based company. Remote and hybrid working styles are also available.
