Cake is hiring Founding Account Executives to be the tip of the spear in this mission. This opportunity offers the chance partner directly with the CEO as we begin scaling up revenue-driving operations. Founding AEs will drive explosive sales growth through direct IC activities, while also playing a critical role in building the sales playbook that will fuel Cake's long-term success. What You’ll Do

  • Own deal cycles from initial conversation to close with relevant stakeholders in C-Level, AI/ML leadership, or adjacent roles
  • Partner with the CEO to develop a sales playbook and execution strategy, contributing to pricing strategy, and implementation of an effective sales methodology
  • Generate new pipeline through creativity, persistence, and use of industry best practices and tools
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to expand professional networks and generate leads.
  • Guide design of sales enablement tools and workflows (CRM, lead gen tools, pipeline management, outreach automation).

Requirements

  • 5+ years sales experience in a related industry (AI/ML or Data Infrastructure)
  • 2+ year in an early-stage startup environment; you’ll be both developing and executing our playbook
  • Proven track record of overachievement in previous revenue-generating roles, driving 5-6 figure contract deals to close
  • Experience selling to mid-market technical leadership (Director, VP level)
  • Self-starter with infectious enthusiasm, an out-of-the-box thinker who sees opportunities and solutions
  • Cake is a NYC-based company. Remote and hybrid working styles are also available.
