ABOUT THE ROLE
Cadre is currently seeking a Senior Accountant reporting to the Finance Controller to assist in the accounting and financial reporting operations. The position will require close interaction and collaboration with our fund operations, legal and people teams. Although defined as a position emphasizing detailed accounting and reporting responsibilities, the role will provide for professional growth in a broad range of disciplines in real estate investment financial operations.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage and execute the daily operations of the accounting department (including monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities).
- Record journal entries and prepare balance sheet reconciliations for cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, leases, accruals, payroll, inter-company transactions. Perform monthly expense allocations.
- Prepare a monthly flux analysis for significant balance sheet accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of the monthly reporting package.
- Document accounting workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency of the month-end close.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement internal controls.
- Serve as the primary point of contact with external auditor for areas assigned.
- Assist in the implementation of new accounting standards.
- Perform other ad-hoc assignments and special projects as requested.
WHAT YOU HAVE
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting including 2 years of Big 4 experience.
- Experience at a broker dealer is a plus.
- Active CPA license is a plus
- Experience in collaborating with internal and external resources to perform accounting, reporting, taxation, and financial operations for corporate entities.
- Series 99 is a plus
- Demonstrated command of accounting and general business computer applications.
- Superior business skills, attention to detail.
- Excellent quantitative and qualitative skills, including strong oral and written communication.
- Energy and commitment to work in a high-paced, dynamic and collaborative environment.

The Base Salary for this role ranges from $100,000-$120,000 plus bonus and equity. The final offer is dependent on experience, both in industry and alignment with the role.
