C3EL is seeking Cabling Infrastructure Technicians to support large-scale data center network installations and integrations. The Cabling Infrastructure Technician will play a crucial role in managing and executing the cabling strategies for data center operations. This individual will work closely with our outsourced IT teams to ensure the timelines and standards of the cabling infrastructure are met.
This 1099K opportunity will support short-to-medium term (3-9 Months) projects with the possibility of extension based on project needs or of transitioning to full-time employment at contract end.
Job Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair cabling within the data center environment.
Troubleshoot cabling and connectivity issues efficiently.
Work on complex projects, ensuring compliance with our best practice methodologies.
Manage tasks in a high-security setting, adhering to operational and confidentiality standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
Three (3) or more years of experience as a Cabling Technician, with preference given to experience in a data center environment.
Proficient in TCP/IP networking, network cabling, optics, and testing equipment.
Shall have experience installing outside and interior copper and fiber cabling, fiber optic modems, fiber multiplex equipment, fiber patch panels, analog and digital copper patch panels.
Shall have experience installing cabinets, cable ladder and rack systems, and equipment components in the cabinets.
BICSI or similar certification is desirable but not required.
Education:
Associates or Technical Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Information Assurance.
Additional experience and technical certifications may be considered in lieu of a degree.
