C³EL has a great opportunity for a Unified Capabilities Controller who will support DISA at Scott AFB, IL. DISA acts as the provider of GIG/DISN to the DoD and other national security organizations.
You'll be supporting the UC Desk within DISA's 24/7/365 Network Operations Center.
This position requires rotating shift work, which includes nights and weekends.
Duties and responsibilities to include, but not be limited to:
Monitoring UC capabilities and services (legacy & current):
EVoIP, SBU Voice, ECVoIP, VoSIP, DECTK, VISP, GVS, as well as DSN and DRSN.
Identifying and recommending solutions for smooth continuing operation of network as capacity needs change.
Making corrections to network configurations to ensure efficient operation.
Monitoring and documenting network and traffic analysis.
Partnering with the engineering team to provide specifications for network architecture, evaluating and recommending new technologies to enhance current capabilities, and performing needs assessments.
Minimum Qualifications:
Secret clearance [active, in-scope]
US Citizenship [due to contract requirements]
2+ years of relevant technical experience
8570 IAT Level II cert (Security+ CE or equivalent within 90 days of employment)
General understanding of transport and IP network topologies
Expertise in one or more of the following: routers, switches, crypto devices, VoIP, VoSIP, DSN/DRSN, VTC, GVS
Competency in one or more: CISCO, Avaya, Nortel, ACME Packet, Oracle, Palo Alto, Juniper
Experience in at least one of the following crypto devices: KG-250, KG-175, KIV-7, KIV-19
Ability to troubleshoot, configure, and restore services across multiple platforms
Shift work, including nights & weekends
Desired Qualifications:
Prior Military experience or experience working as a contractor in a Government environment is preferred.
Remedy GTMS/ITSM experience is a plus.
CCNA, JNCIA, and similar/relevant certifications are also desirable.
