As an E/E Powertrain Systems Integration Engineer you will lead the design, optimization, and integration of powertrain electrical system features and functions.  The Powertrain Systems Integration Engineer will be responsible for considerations regarding power management, bus messaging, electrical connectivity and functional interactions.  The Powertrain Systems Integration Engineer will report to the Manager of E/E Systems and Integration.


  • Support the integration and development of vehicle powertrain system features and functions
  • Make trade-offs between vehicle functionality, cost, weight, messaging, network architecture and wiring to optimize vehicle features
  • Lead cross-functional discussions with different domains to ensure end-to-end functional compatibility
  • Define bus messages and signals for various functions
  • Collaborate with design and release engineers and component suppliers to support overall vehicle development milestones and prototype/production build events
  • Model system functions in model-based E/E architecture design tool
  • Generate requirements for cross-domain features and cascade to the various systems and components
  • Verify interface functions are present on cross-domain features and that requirements are compatible
  • Ensure that feature development across domain systems has synchronized maturity
  • Lead Cross domain feature DFMEAs


  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with vehicle systems or component engineering
  • Automotive experience at an OEM or Tier 1
  • Desired experience with electric powertrain systems, vehicle access modes, network management, power modes, charging systems, vehicle security, and diagnostics
  • Experience with model-based E/E system architecture design tools (PREEvision, SysML)
  • Working knowledge of CAN, LIN, Ethernet bus communication protocols
  • Experience with use-case modeling and feature requirements tools (ex. JAMA, DOORS)
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence
  • Must be self-motivated, with a desire to continuously improve and learn.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex projects with tight timing constraints, providing examples of such scenarios throughout one’s career
