As a Connectivity Cloud and Security Systems Engineer you will lead the design, optimization, and integration of electrical system features and functions on the Central Gateway and Telematics. The CCS Systems Engineer will be responsible for system level design regarding power management, vehicle access, body electronics, powertrain control, remote control, and Functional Safety requirement. The CCS Systems Engineer will report to the CCS Systems Manager


  • Design and draft subsystem specifications for Central Gateway and Telematics
  • Support internal firmware/hardware team for component level design and implementation
  • Support the E/E system integration and development of vehicle system features and functions
  • Specification review with E/E system to ensure Vehicle/System requirement (L1/L2) is cascaded into subsystem level (L3)
  • Define CAN and Ethernet messages and signals for CCS domain
  • Make trade-offs between vehicle functionality, messaging, vehicle architecture and hardware design to optimize domain features
  • Support cross-functional discussions with different domains to ensure end-to-end functional compatibility
  • Verify interface functions are present on cross-domain features and that requirements are compatible
  • Analysis CAN log and identify issues for improvement
  • Lead Cross domain feature DMFEAs
  • Functional safety development with cross-domain team


  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with vehicle architecture or component engineering
  • Automotive experience at an OEM or Tier 1
  • Desired experience with following: connectivity, network management, power modes, power up and down sequence, body electronics, AC/DC/12V charging, vehicle security, and diagnostics
  • Working knowledge of CAN, LIN, Ethernet bus communication protocols
  • Experience with use-case modeling and feature requirements tools (ex. JAMA, DOORS)
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence
  • Experience with Vector CANoe and CANalyzer
  • Must be self-motivated, with a desire to continuously improve and learn.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex projects with tight timing constraints, providing examples of such scenarios throughout one’s career
