The Global Logistics Team leads all Logistics Operations outside of China for Byton. This includes International Shipment Execution, Global Trade Compliance, Show Car Transportation, Finished Vehicle Transportation, International Packaging, and China Operations Support.

The Logistics Managers will be responsible for all planning and operations related to parts imported to China and Outbound Finished Vehicles exported from China. This includes developing the overseas Logistics Guidelines, Investigating the logistics capability of each overseas supplier, sourcing an Inbound and Outbound 3PL, developing the  Outbound Finished Vehicles, Supplier Selection, and 3PL Management. This individual needs to have knowledge of both China operations as well as US / EU domestic.

  • Hire and manage a team of Logistics professionals that will lead the development of the Production Overseas Logistics process.
  • Responsible for the inbound Logistics strategy from parts supplier to delivery to the Byton Nanjing Factory
  • Investigation, training, and management of the overseas supply base
  • Lead vendor selection of Inbound and Outbound 3PL’s
  • Create the Inbound and Oubound 3PL Statements of Work
  • Develop the outbound Finished Vehicle strategy from the Nanjing plant to overseas countries
  • Maintain key KPI’s to track the 3PL’s performance
  • Manage freight costs, process payments and advise of any discrepancies/adjustments


  • 7+ years in Automotive Logistics – including inbound part operations into China and oubound finished vehicle operations
  • Operational knowledge working for an OEM in Automotive Inbound and Outbound Logistics
  • Knowledge of requirements for importing parts into China, and Exporting finished vehicles to overseas countries.
  • Knowledge of the routines and working methods within Outbound Logistics for finished vehicle distribution.
  • Experience with domestic transportation within the EU and US.
  • Comfortable making data driven decisions, and conveying ideas in group settings
  • Must be self-driven, have hands-on approach to resolving issues, flexible, and open to changes to dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and partner relationship management skills.
  • Experience working with SAP
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related discipline.
  • Expert proficiency in English; conversational ability in Mandarin, Cantonese, or German a plus.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time
