Vehicle Package Architecture defines the geometric constraints required to deliver proper vehicle function and acceptable attribute performance, thus assisting with the delivery of all customer perceived attributes.
As the Senior Vehicle Architecture Engineer, you will have the overall systems engineering responsibility for the development of the vehicle architecture, leading a team to come up with innovative and creative solutions for all vehicle systems (i.e. Closures, Chassis, Exterior Systems, Seats, and Interior Systems).

·Act as the liaison for the Santa Clara Vehicle Architecture/Package Department on modular platform studies and future Byton vehicles;
·Own the vehicle architecture and technical feasibility analysis;
·Work closely with the Studio/Design and Engineering Teams to deliver the mechanical package and occupant package lay out to define the architecture of the vehicle to meet system and vehicle level requirements;
·Create and maintain concept sections to support the design/studio feasibility process;
·Lead small projects and assist with building concept vehicles;
·Establish and maintain a close working relationship with all areas with emphasis on collaboration;
·Communicate efficiently and effectively and present technical reports confidently in group settings;
·BS in Engineering (BSME, BSEE, BSIE…) or equivalent experience;
·5+ years in Vehicle Packaging or CAD design with an expertise in either Body Structure, Closures, Interiors or Exteriors;
·Skilled in CATIA V5/V6 and related vehicle architecture/occupant package tools (i.e. CAVA, Ramsis, etc.);
·Proficient knowledge of Ergonomics in the automotive design process;
·Experience with Alias surfacing is a plus;
·Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment;
·Proven team leader with problem solving and communication skills;
·Self-motivated, with a desire to continuously improve, learn, and teach;
·Passion for electric vehicles, energy efficiency, new technology, and making a difference.
