BYTON's electrical distribution team is looking for an eCAD Librarian to develop and manage the CAD component footprint and symbol library databases.
This candidate will report to the Electrical Distribution Systems Manager and will be responsible for working closely with Electrical Engineers to create schematic symbols, electrical component footprints, and 3D component models and archiving them to the global ECAD library.
Maintain and support a global CATIA library database;
Work closely with Electrical and Mechanical Engineers to create schematic symbols, electrical component footprints, and 3D component models;
Publish library parts to the ECAD & MCAD libraries;
Process CAD Library requests for new parts and analyze/modify existing library parts for improved readability of the schematic or manufacturability of the component footprint;
Verify and validate schematic symbols and physical footprints for parts created by engineers for accuracy and compliance with BYTON standards;
Write scripts to automate routine tasks associated with E-CAD applications, databases, and libraries;
Monitor operating procedures and other internal documentation for completeness and manage updates;
Participate in the usability, testing, and validation of the library change control system and process;
B.S in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent degree with experience as an eCAD Librarian or Designer;
CATIA V5/V6 design knowledge, with a minimum of 5000 hours of experience in automotive components and subsystem design;
Experience with Mentor Graphic Tools (Harness XC, Integrator, Logical Schematics);
Proficient in MS office software (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint,…etc.).
