ByHeart is a fully integrated baby nutrition company dedicated to empowering parents with choice: we want ‘best nutrition for baby’ to be possible for every parent out there.

We build each product from ground up: a team of pediatricians, breastmilk researchers and nutrition experts at the forefront of immune, cognitive, digestive and microbiome health informs our next-to-nature approach; we hand-pick the most wholesome ingredients from partners and farms that we consider family; we take pride in what we put in and in what we keep out of each recipe; we blend in our own facility in Reading, PA with a proprietary small batch process to retain highest ingredient quality.

On track to become only the 4th fully-integrated, FDA-registered baby nutrition company in the US – and the only new brand with owned manufacturing and direct supplier relationships  – we just closed our over-subscribed $90M Series B in July 2021, and are about to launch our first infant formula, with a pipeline of mom and baby nutrition products to follow.

Reporting to: Senior Director of Acquisition



 This role is perfect for someone who is both highly strategic, and also passionate about storytelling and producing effective creative. Applicants should have a drive to understand ‘What makes a winning ad?’ for paid channels. This team member will analyze data sets, debrief large teams on performance, produce briefs to be turned into.

What You'll Do

  • Own creative strategy for ByHeart’s Performance Marketing Channels, supporting our brand and creative team to produce top-performing ads, drive creative decision-making, and grow revenue.
  • Lead collaboration across teams and functions to synthesize quantitative and creative input, driving the highest-leverage strategic decision for the company.
  • Using research, data, and creative insights, build hypotheses to test, iterate, and scale concepts in ad campaigns.
  • Analyze results of tests, forming hypotheses as to why creative concepts succeed or fail, and translate data directly into actionable creative insights.
  • Write strategic briefs outlining scientific, creative tests within ads to gain high-impact learnings to implement across teams.
  • Collaborate directly with Creative Producers and Editors to give strategic and creative notes, evaluating footage and quality copy from a consumer perspective, and act as final sign-off on creative.
  • Critically analyze media testing and scaling structures within Ads Manager to ensure optimal conditions for performance.
  • Identify top performing concepts and create variations and iterations playbooks to help producers/editors understand how to scale out concepts that are working.
  • Identify top performing concepts and work closely with Growth Managers to build strategic channel plans.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Able to analyze and interpret performance metrics and translate this into strategic creative direction
  • Has a consumer-centric mindset and an ability to recognize gaps/opportunities in persuasiveness of messaging
  • Understanding of FB Ads Manager, and/or experience with other ad platforms including Pinterest, Youtube, OTT and Display.
  • Experience briefing paid social and direct response creative direction to design teams.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience either in a DTC organization or Growth Agency.
