Buyers Edge Platform Europe delivers the savings power of Buyers Edge to the European content. Our operations will expand across Europe in the coming years as we onboard more operators and strategic partners in this emerging market.
This position is remotely based out of London, UK. We are unable to offer work sponsorship for this role.
The Procurement Manager will play a key role in aligning and centralizing procurement activities across our UK acquisitions. This role will involve a strong emphasis on managing supplier contract negotiations, overseeing operational procurement, and ensuring effective contract management. Equally important, the role will leverage data analytics to identify trends and uncover opportunities within the supply chain, optimizing procurement strategies. The Procurement Manager will also support the Vice President of Strategic Procurement in achieving revenue generation targets and will contribute to our ongoing manufacturing programs by adding manufacturers to Buyers Edge Platform (BEP).
Your impact:
- Supplier Contract Negotiations: Assist in managing and supporting distributor contract negotiations, ensuring alignment with acquisition-level procurement strategies.
- Operational Procurement Management: Oversee procurement activities related to supplier management and acquisition-level support, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Manufacturing Program Support: Identify opportunities to expand BEP direct deals with manufacturers and facilitate the movement of case volumes to these manufacturers.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize Excel and other data analysis tools to identify trends, opportunities, and risks in procurement activities. Provide actionable insights to support decision-making and optimize procurement strategies.
- Support Revenue Generation Targets: Work closely with the Vice President of Strategic Procurement to meet and exceed revenue generation targets by optimizing procurement activities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Vice President of Strategic Procurement - Europe and other team members to ensure procurement activities are aligned with the overall strategic goals of the organization.
- Supplier/Distributor Relationships: Foster and maintain strong relationships with regional suppliers and distributors, ensuring compliance with contract terms and exploring opportunities for further collaboration.
- GPO Partnership Management: Support the management of any source GPO partnerships in Europe, ensuring alignment with overall strategic goals.
- International Manufacturer Programs: Assist in leading international manufacturing programs leveraged in Europe, including sourcing and implementing localized programs to accelerate growth.
- Localized Distributor Programs: Manage the sourcing and implementation of localized distributor programs specific to Europe, aimed at accelerating growth.
- Synergy Harvesting: Support efforts to harvest synergies from acquisitions and country partnerships.
- Incremental Sales Growth: Deliver the execution of Manufacturer sales, growth, and promotional initiatives to deliver incremental sales growth.
- Manufacturer Strategy Sessions: Coordinate and support Manufacturer Strategy Sessions to drive strategic objectives.
- Communication and Tracking: Effectively communicate, manage, and track conversion opportunity activity results by consistently updating all sales reporting tools according to required timelines.
- Business Reviews: Ensure regular Manufacturer and distributor Business Reviews are held to maintain strong relationships and drive continuous improvement.
- US Supply Chain Support: Engage with the supply chain team in the US to support European growth initiatives.
About you:
- 3+ years of related experience
- Knowledge of the food service industry is required.
- Knowledge of Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) is a plus.
- Stellar communication skills – both written and verbal
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Ability to think outside the box and challenge ideas.
- Strong problem-solving skills
- High level of prioritization with ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical, strategic, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to understand and interpret data
- Having international experience is desirable
