This position can be remote or hybrid-based near one of our offices and is based around East Coast working hours. We are unable to offer work sponsorship for this role.
We are searching for a Lead Software Developer/Product Manager to add bandwidth to our Data Manager team in both the technical and leadership area. This role will act as the lead on selected projects, act as a mentor for the team, and perform releases when necessary.
Your impact:
- Act as the lead on selected projects. This will involve gathering requirements, designing solutions, assigning tickets, monitoring/managing progress, and coaching team members as needed.
- Work closely with other developers and Stakeholders to construct new software, tools, and custom solutions to support the growing needs of the organization.
- Develop high quality code that adheres to best practices in design, proper testing, and good documentation.
- Fulfill stakeholders’ needs and ensure they are satisfied with the end result.
- Other related duties as assigned.
About you:
- 7+ years of experience developing in an object-oriented language.
- Proficient with Java 8+, Rest APIs, and JavaScript/React
- 2+ years of team leadership/coaching experience
- 2+ years of experience leading software projects
- Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL
- Strong understanding of the full SDLC
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to break down complex projects into manageable, assignable pieces
- Excellent communication skills
