📣  A bit about the role.  

We are looking for a savvy Commercial Manager to join the team and spearhead our efforts to build lifetime value (LTV). We are a subscription business and we have good plans for how/where we acquire customers. We are looking for someone personable and ambitious to come in and take the day to day responsibility for all the initiatives which generate revenue and margin amongst our existing customers (and those who have lapsed).

You will be responsible for finding new ways to retain customers, increase adoption of our additional products and features and optimise the product mix to make each box we send out is great for the customer and the company. You’ll be hot on all the metrics, reporting to all levels of the business and working with almost every department at Butternut to drive improvement. We’re looking for a bit of an all-rounder; someone good with numbers, strategy and project management.

This role is fluid and will grow with the company and the team! The responsibilities will develop as you take on bigger and bigger projects. Longer-term, as you become immersed in the numbers and working of Butternut, we’re keen that you feel empowered to identify and prioritise the highest value opportunities yourself.

  • You will be results-orientated. You will want to be responsible for key things that we are trying to do and relish the accountability that brings.
  • You’ll back yourself. We want someone to come in and feel empowered to tell us what needs to be done and how to do it.
  • You’ll be able to ‘work a room’. To achieve your goals, you’ll need other people around the business to chip in – you’ll be able to convince them to.
  • You will have experience delivering projects. We don’t want this to be a purely analytical role. We want to change things and we move quickly.
  • You’ll be degree educated and ideally have worked in an environment that has helped develop a strategic/commercial toolkit. Probably with 2+ years of experience in a mixture of commercial and/or strategy roles
