About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Finance to lead our finance team. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of Finance will play a crucial role in driving financial strategy and ensuring the company's financial health. 

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in financial management, including expertise in ASC 606 revenue recognition, inventory management, and supply chain oversight. Experience in M&A transactions is desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Strategy: Report directly to the CEO; Work closely with Executive Leadership on strategic finance and financial accounting to help expand the growth of the company and provide key insights
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership and vision for scaling the finance team and our financial infrastructure to support Butlr throughout our high-growth journey; Align the goals and vision of all aspects of the business from a data & finance perspective while ensuring the company hits critical KPI
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with our leadership team to scale the business consistently and allocate budgets across relevant functions to boost efficiency, growth, and profitability
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, including credit, market, and operational risks. Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial ad-hoc analyses with stakeholders across the company to provide actionable business insights to drive operating efficiencies and market share gain
  • Legal Support: support and provide guidance to outside legal counsel in customer and vendor contract negotiation
  • Own pricing model for all aspects of business to ensure proper gross margins
  • Maintain and improve financial forecasting model for executive planning purposes
  • Drive annual budgeting process from start to finish

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance, including at least 3 years in a controller-level role or higher
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and fix problems in a hands-on manner when needed
  • Experience using data to analyze performance and drive strategic decision making
  • Proven capabilities in evaluating operational gaps and weaknesses
  • Previous experience in fundraising, acquiring bank debt, and equity planning is highly desirable
  • Experience handling questions on financial matters with ease and conveying confidence in the veracity of the numbers and complete understanding of the business drivers
  • Experience in M&A transactions is desirable
  • Proficiency in reviewing and analyzing financial modeling and forecasting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience managing a team
  • Understanding of inventory management, supply chain processes and cost accounting principles
  • Track record of success in building new finance processes and an ability to work through ambiguity

Salary: $220k-$270k
