Bungie is seeking a motivated and skillful results-driven recruiter to help continue our success in building high performing, passionate, and innovative teams responsible for creating amazing experiences like Halo to Destiny. Our studio needs a recruiter who will play a key role in growing the business as we continue into the next phase as a fully independent game studio. Our ideal candidate will aid in bridging the gap between opening and offer, one candidate at a time. You will partner closely with hiring managers and studio leadership to help develop, deliver, and execute an inclusive and diverse talent strategy plan that aligns with Bungie’s growth plans. You will also help to provide critical talent insights to help inform and influence our recruitment process, hiring philosophies, and overall assessment practices.

Duration: 12 months

During these uncertain times and rapidly changing environment surrounding COVID-19, all positions at Bungie are subject to onboarding and working virtually/remotely. Once the studio is fully reopened, most work is expected to be performed in-person at our main headquarters in Bellevue, Washington.


  • Own and manage the full cycle recruitment process by driving talent engagement across several teams: identify, source, screen, facilitate and extend offers to candidates in order to successfully fill reqs
  • Understand Bungie’s hiring needs and translate those needs into effective and efficient candidate generation strategies
  • Effectively screen candidates for availability, interest level, eligibility to work in the U.S., salary expectations, relocation needs, relevant skills and experience, and core competencies and present them to the appropriate hiring teams  
  • Understand candidate needs and successfully close candidates; use a high degree of professionalism and savviness in generating and negotiating complex offers that typically involve pre-closing, competitive/counter offers, multifaceted total compensation plans, and equity to understand what will resonate and compel candidates to Bungie
  • Ensure that every candidate has an outstanding and inclusive experience
  • Engage and cultivate relationships with active and passive candidates to fill current reqs as well as build pipelines for future needs
  • Build rapport and advise with hiring managers on all aspects of the hiring process
  • Attend job fairs, conventions and conferences such as college career fairs and GDC
  • Maintain and encourage further development of recruitment initiatives and programs (e.g. employee referral program, relocation programs, compensation, surveys, etc)


  • Experience owning full cycle recruitment and candidate generation
  • Ability to support recruiting for reqs of various levels across an organization
  • Track record of successfully filling complex, unique roles
  • Demonstrated success in implementing targeted sourcing initiatives, utilizing a variety of tools including Boolean, Gem, Hiretual,
  • Chrome Extensions, and other internet research tactics to create candidate pipelines
  • Ability to interact and build relationships with all levels of the organization; comfortable operating in a rapidly changing environment
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability of taking initiative and building strong productive relationships
  • Skill and aptitude for coaching hiring managers
  • Ability to provide constant updates and communication (via virtual call, email, chat and/or in-person) with hiring teams, stakeholders and candidates alike in all stages of the recruitment funnel
  • Experience with an Applicant Tracking System, preferably Greenhouse


  • Interest in games and/or previous recruiting experience in the video game industry
  • Emphasis on diversity sourcing strategies
