The Job

Hands-On Art Director working on a co-op FPS game. You will:

Define and execute the artistic vision and style of the game. Direct via clear, constructive critiques
Collaborate with the Creative and Design directors to ensure art enhances the vision of the game
Lead and manage a small team of artists and animators, both in and out of the house
Supervise the production of all 2D and 3D game art assets, including but not limited to: character design, weapon design, environment, props, lighting, and VFX
Balance art goals against technical constraints
Own and maintain the Art Bible, style guides, etc.
Participate in the recruitment and selection process for new artists, assessing candidates' artistic skills

Qualifications:

7+ years as a game artist and associate art director
Extensive experience with in-sourcing and out-sourcing art
Significant experience with Unreal Engine 4 and/or 5 · Must have shipped FPS games as a Lead Artist or Associate Art Director
Must have experience with realistic, real-world environments, objects, and people

Salary Ranges (USD): $190,000 - $280,000
