About the Role As a Child Care Specialist you will impact the lives of the children in care in the Assessment Center. You will provide structured child care and an environment of consistent structure, guidance and nurture in all program activities.
What You’ll Do As a member of our team you will have an impact on our clients through accomplishment of the following responsibilities:
Maintaining a positive attitude and approach when working with the children.
Providing and environment that is growth producing and which stimulates self-confidence and trust, and respect of people.
Plan, monitor and coordinate children's activities in conjunction with other program staff.
Supervise children according to Buckner policy, regulatory requirements, and the needs of the children in care.
Participate in training, staff meetings and supervisory conferences to develop and enhance skills.
What You’ll Bring to the Team To be successful in this role and a great addition to our team we need you to come with the following:
A High School Diploma or (G.E.D.) with understanding and ability to use simple arithmetic and grammar with accuracy.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to perform child containment when necessary.
Ability to take CPR, First Aid and participate in training as necessary.
Age 21 with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record so that you can be insured on the Buckner insurance and provide transportation as required.
