About the Role As a Lead Maintenance Technician you will impact the lives of staff and residents through careful handling of all maintenance operations for the buildings, equipment and grounds of the Dallas Campus. You will do this through a combination of technology, maintenance, housekeeping and custodial functions.
What You’ll Do As a member of our team you will have an impact on our staff and residents through accomplishment of the following responsibilities:
Performing general maintenance functions including, but not limited to, basic electrical, appliance repairs, basic plumbing, etc.
Managing TELS maintenance application for required tasks, work orders and assets.
Conducting monthly required drills for fire, bomb threats, bad weather.
Meeting and working with contractors for plumbing, painting, roofing, electrical, etc. to ensure repairs are completed as needed.
Assisting maintenance technician with regular cleaning and servicing of community training building.
Ordering janitorial, cleaning and irrigation supplies as needed.
Performing routine safety inspections of campus, walk-throughs of all buildings, identifying and reporting potential safety hazards.
Performing routine maintenance needs of campus vehicles.
Assisting staff and residents as needed with furniture moving and setups, make-readies, moving boxes, etc.
What You’ll Bring to the Team To be successful in this role and a great addition to our team we need you to come with the following:
High School Diploma (or G.E.D.)
5 years facility maintenance experience
A professional commitment to Christian principles so as to perform tasks and responsibilities in alignment with Buckner’s mission, vision, and values;
