About the Role As a Children and Youth Coordinator you will work hands on with children and youth to empower them to succeed. Connecting and Developing strategies to provide support services to children and youth. In this role you will see precious lives achieving their goals and dreams. You will experience the excitement to see them graduate and enroll in college or find a new job.
What You’ll Do As a member of our team you will have an impact on our clients through accomplishment of the following responsibilities:
Provide an environment that stimulates self-confidence, personal expression, trust and respect for others.
Coordinate children outreach programs. Sport Camps, character building shops, and school work support.
Coordinate Collage and Career initiatives. College trips, developing youth to achieve college and new jobs.
Develop an events calendar along with Community Coordinator to engage parents and children.
Visit Dallas ISD local schools
Engage with school and universities’ counselors.
Provide support and assistance for children and youth.
Lead and coordinate sports camps and leadership camps.
What You’ll Bring to the Team To be successful in this role and a great addition to our team we need you to come with the following:
Bachelor’s degree required. Prior experience in Education or Social Work.
2 years minimum of experience working with children and youth.
Flexible schedule to meet children and youth in their best available times.
Spanish acumen both in writing and speaking.
A professional commitment to Christian principles so as to perform tasks and responsibilities in alignment with Buckner’s mission, vision, and values.
