About the Role
As Senior Executive Assistant you will support the President/CEO in his day-to-day activities of leading Buckner International. Provide administrative and logistical support to the President/CEO and other staff, donors or trustees who may be traveling with him from time to time. Serve as initial point of contact for his office. Serve as a resource to all Buckner staff and Board of Trustees. Support the President in preparation for and during Board meetings.

What You’ll Do
As a member of our team you will have an impact on Buckner team members and our clients through accomplishment of the following responsibilities:

  • Oversee and complete a broad variety of administrative tasks including managing an active calendar, arranging domestic and international travel plans, processing expense reports, and providing team support 
  • Plan and manage meetings; participate in meetings to take notes and list action items then prepare for President's review and next steps; and distribute meeting minutes and/or notes 
  • Successfully complete projects under time pressure; meet deadlines consistently and reliably
  • Keep current business and personal contact lists
  • Receive, screen and route incoming calls
  • General clerical duties including photocopying and mailing
  • Receive and direct visitors and clients
  • Handle requests for information and data
  • Resolve administrative problems and inquiries
  • Prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos and emails
  • Record, compile, transcribe and distribute minutes following Board meetings
  • Open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence
  • Exercise independent judgment and discretion regarding confidential matters
  • Demonstrate consistently positive interpersonal interactions with internal teams and external partners
  • Assist in managing special projects
  • Assist in other roles/activities as assigned

Preferred Qualifications
In addition to the amazing qualifications and experiences listed above, if we had our say, we would also look for:

  • Amazing Microsoft Office skills that you will use to create documents in Word, spreadsheets in Excel, presentations PowerPoint and wow us with your use of Outlook
  • You know your way around SharePoint 
  • You have earned a high school diploma or G.E.D.
  • You have at least 10 years experience working in and supporting C-Suite executives
  • You earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field of study
  • You are fluent in Spanish is desired, but not required
