About the Role As a Children and Youth Specialist at the Family Hope Center, you will impact the lives of children and youth primarily through summer programs and after school collaborations. You will work with other like-minded organizations to help to fulfill gaps in services, and implement services such as teaching age-appropriate financial literacy and skills for entering the job market.
What You’ll Do As a member of our team you will have an impact on our clients through accomplishment of the following responsibilities:
Maintain a positive attitude and approach when working with youth and their parents.
Implement programming on-site or at another location.
Research for expanding programming ideas.
Provide supervision to the youth/children and apply discipline when needed.
Perform administrative tasks, data entry, purchase supplies, room set-up and tear-down.
What You’ll Bring to the Team To be successful in this role and a great addition to our team we need you to come with the following:
A Bachelor's Degree and work experience in a related field.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to use tact and courtesy in interactions with coworkers, children, and their families.
Self-motivation to guide daily work with only moderate supervision.
Age 21 or over with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record so you can be insured on the Buckner insurance and provide transportation to program participants as needed.
Ability to recognize confidential matters and maintain confidentiality.
A professional commitment to Christian principles so as to perform tasks and responsibilities in alignment with Buckner’s mission, vision, and values;
