Vice President, Client Renewal Executive
The Client Renewal Executive is responsible for managing and executing the renewal process for Direct Client Services contracts for all bswift services. This role involves working closely with internal client stakeholders, internal senior leadership, and aligned clients to understand their evolving business needs, negotiating terms, and ensuring seamless contract renewals to maintain and strengthen client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
• Contract Renewal Process
o Oversee the end-to-end process of contract renewals, including preparation, negotiation, and execution
o Review existing contracts and work with internal leadership to assess client needs to propose appropriate adjustments, enhancements and new service(s)
o Ensure all contractual terms meet client requirements and bswift company standards
• Negotiation and Terms Management
o Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and service levels with clients to ensure mutual satisfaction and compliance
o Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., legal, finance, operations) to align on contract terms and conditions
• Performance Monitoring and Reporting
o Review contract performance (e.g., KPIs, FTEs, service utilization) and identify areas for improvement
o Analyze contract performance metrics and implement strategies for optimization
o Ensure contracts are renewed timely according to bswift client governance process
o Provide renewal status report-outs to internal leadership via ongoing meetings and Salesforce reporting tools
• Client Retention and Satisfaction
o Achieve high client retention rates through effective contract renewal execution and management
o Meet or exceed renewal targets and revenue goals
o Develop and execute strategies to enhance client satisfaction and retention
o Identify opportunities for additional services or enhancements.
• Market and Industry Knowledge
o Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive benefits administration landscape
o Apply industry knowledge to advise clients on best practices and potential improvements as part of contract renewal process
• Documentation and Compliance
o Ensure all contracts and related documentation are accurate, complete, and compliant with bswift company policies and legal requirements
o Maintain organized records of contract negotiations, renewals, and amendments

Skills and Qualifications:
• 15+ years of experience in benefits administration, contract management, or related field, with strong track record in client relations and contract negotiations
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, or a related field (advanced degrees or certifications are preferred)
• Proven experience in contracts management and execution, particularly with executive-level contacts, in the benefits administration domain
• In-depth knowledge of employee benefits programs, regulations, and industry trends.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills to interact effectively with executive contacts
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to address complex client needs
• Analytical skills to assess data and make data-driven decisions
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple client contract renewals simultaneously

Standard working hours are 8am-5pm Central Time, unless otherwise stated in the Job Description. 

 

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $150,000-175,000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses.  If you are hired at bswift, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package!
