About Brunswick Insight

Brunswick Insight is the firm’s strategic research hub, helping to bring a more comprehensive view of the outside world to inform the advice Brunswick gives to its clients.

The team specializes in conducting both qualitative and quantative opinion research, as well as analysing conversations taking place in the med and online.

Insights generated inform client strategy, underpinning campaign and communication strategies, and providing key insights at business-critical moments.

The Insight team is made up of around 30 people globally with hubs in Brunswick’s London, Washington DC and Beijing offices. Members come from a wide variety of backgrounds including political polling, market research, journalism and media analytics.

The role

Brunswick Group is seeking an Associate in its London team. The Associate would design, conduct and analyse opinion research, as well as a range of other data sources including media and social media data, to advise clients on their approach to critical issues.

The role would be an excellent opportunity for someone with existing experience of opinion research, who is looking to develop as a data-driven advisor.

Responsibilities

Client management

  • Understand client objectives, and advises on the best approach to meet their needs
  • Designs and delivers quantitative and qualitative research across multiple markets and a variety of audiences
  • Analyses news and social media conversation to inform advice to clients on critical issues
  • Generates client-ready reports and presentations containing key insights and advice
  • Presents research findings and data-driven recommendations in an engaging and accessible way

Business development

  • Conducts research in support of the firm’s new business objectives
  • Build close relationships with clients, as a trusted partner and advisor
  • Represents the Insight team at pitches, external events, et
  • Seek ways to develop our offer, so we can provide the best advice for clients and colleagues

Internal contribution

  • Represents and promotes the team’s work across Brunswick
  • Promotes and supports an insight-driven culture within the firm
  • Supports and develops more junior colleagues within Insight
  • Supports firmwide strategy and priorities

Experience, Capabilities & Skills

  • A proven track record in opinion research
  • Experienced in using data to advise clients on critical issues and strategy
  • Cross-sector experience, in one or more of these areas: financial services; energy & resources; pharmaceutical & healthcare; consumer goods; technology media & telecoms
  • Understanding and experience of research across: corporate reputation; message testing; public affairs; crisis and corporate issues; branding
  • A good understanding of the UK and global media and social media landscapes
  • An excellent communicator both written and orally, with proven abilities in data visualisation, as well as presenting research and advice in an engaging and accessible way

Building long-term value for the firm

  • Experienced in building and growing client relationships
  • Experienced in developing new business, writing proposals and pitching
  • Experienced project manager able to organise a team to deliver against objectives, timeframes and profitability
  • A track record in developing people
  • Solutions-focused, creative thinker, with experience of developing and employing new tools and approaches to address client needs
  • Able to prioritise competing demands and work to tight deadlines
