Brooke Charter Schools is a network of four public charter schools, serving grades K-12 in Mattapan, Roslindale, and East Boston. What is the Families & Culture Coordinator Role?
As the Families & Culture Coordinator, you will be an essential part of the Operations Team, which works to ensure operational excellence in support of great teaching. The role is fast-paced and will provide opportunities to build rewarding relationships with students, teachers, and families.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate field trips (including middle school overnight trips) in collaboration with teachers: arrange for field trip transportation and meals; assist with collection and disbursement of field trip payments, etc.
- Manage logistics of the after school program: oversee the overall activities and scheduling of the program and assist with daily student sign-in and sign-out
- Oversee the logistics and coordination of various school events and celebrations including:
- Family engagement events (ex. Arts Night)
- Student engagement events (ex. picture day, book fair, assemblies)
- Black History Month, Hispanic Heritage Month, and other such celebrations
- 8th Grade Moving Up Ceremony
- Celebrations highlighting student behavior and academic achievement
- Coordinate logistics related to the Parent Involvement Council (PIC)
- Other such duties as the Director of Operations may from time to time request commensurate with the employee’s position
Salary is commensurate with experience. Those who join our team with the minimum experience below earn salaries of approximately $48,000.
Is This You?
- You have earned your Associates degree, at least 4 years of full-time work experience in associate or coordinator roles. Some work in a school-based setting is preferred but not required.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive
- You are professional, warm, and collaborative with students, families, and colleagues
- After experience in a fast-paced work environment, you are able to manage multiple priorities in an organized, flexible, and detail-oriented manner
- You believe that great teaching is the leading indicator of student success and are willing to go above and beyond in support of Brooke teachers and students
- Spanish speaking preferred
- You are able to start immediately
