Brooke Charter Schools is a network of five public charter schools serving grades K-12 in Mattapan, Roslindale, and East Boston. At Brooke, we coach and invest in our teachers so that they can help our students shatter the achievement gap and graduate from college. Our students thrive because they are challenged and known.
What is the Performing Arts Teacher role?
As the performing arts teacher at Brooke High, you will teach a semester-long course that meets twice weekly from 8:16-8:56; classes meet either on Tuesday/Thursday or Wednesday/Friday. You will teach a class of 10-18 ninth and tenth grade students and will be responsible for all curriculum development and behavior management for your course. You will receive supervision and feedback from the Assistant Principal.
Each arts enrichment class is 40 minutes, and you will be compensated for 50 minutes of planning time for each course, thereby receiving 3 hours of pay weekly. Compensation is $53.05 an hour commensurate with experience.
