What to expect :

The Programmatic Technical Specialist role is predominantly data-centric. Our product sits in the middle of millions of transactions per day, with a constant flow of information that needs to be scrutinized daily to solve problems. Nowadays, manipulating data at scale can’t be dissociated from coding, and in addition to knowing computer science, the applicant should also be able to demonstrate an acceptable comprehension of data structures & algorithms. Hence, a coding language is only a tool for manipulating data at scale therefore only knowing the syntax is not enough to perform well in this role. The right candidate for this role will have a solution-driven personality with an emphasis on solving complex problems. We are looking for an applicant who will also have an exemplary level of collaboration and great communication skills as contextual information should be described clearly and efficiently. Helping others to acquire knowledge is essential as is self-development as it is really important to be in constant learning to evolve and improve the infrastructure. We are looking for someone who can quickly learn and has enough creativity to pull interesting ideas and find useful applications from freshly explored fields.

Responsibilities:

  • Responding to escalated technical questions from internal and external clients
  • Tracking issues in the case management system. 
  • Guide and assist customers with integrations using APIs. Follow-ups with customers to ensure progress on integration projects.
  • Proactively run data analysis on  large amounts of data sets to identify and alert on possible issues
  • Interacting with Product Owners and the Engineering team to address incidents reported by customers that result in a software issue
  • Interacting with highly technical customers to find solutions to integration projects and reported problems. . 

Required:

  • College diploma or university degree in an IT-related field (equivalent experience is taken into consideration)
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • 2+ years experience in one of the following roles (or equivalent experience in the multifunction role)
    • Senior/Second+ level technical support
    • DataOps
    • SRE
    • System Administrator/IT Administrator
    • Technical Business Analyst
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Linux
  • Solid understanding of Database concepts
  • Ability to think “outside the box”
  • “Move to scale” mindset. Always think in terms of long-term scalability.

The applicant must be able to:

  • Demonstrate impeccable customer service skills by closing cases with a solution or more education (going further than “I can’t reproduce it”).
  • Understand how to assemble multiple tools/systems into a new workflow.
  • Memorize a lot of information and if not, have strong organizational skills/initiatives to access information.
  • Generate reports and perform data analysis using complex SQL queries.
  • Retrieve information from a REST API and automate processes.
  • Explore new environments (reading documentation) and master concepts through experimentation / practical application.
  • On rare occasions, for urgent and critical requests provide support to customers outside of the regular working hours or on weekends.

Preferably:

  • Have Experience in Programmatic Advertising is preferable but not required.
  • Experience with cloud solutions.
  • Ability to code, or willingness to learn.
  • Familiar with HTML / Javascript.
