The base salary for this position is $90,000 to $105,000

Position Overview

Analysts assume a critical role in the entire transaction process, including the initial pitch, due diligence, preparing a written prospectus or memorandum, meeting with potential investors/buyers, negotiating key terms, closing the deal and maintaining the client relationship. 

Analysts work on a variety of transactions, including equity offerings, M&A advisory assignments, private equity placements, and strategic options studies. Our small deal teams and our focus on middle-market, high-growth companies afford our juniors the unique opportunity to work directly with senior-level client executives and top-level bankers.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Work closely with senior bankers and client management teams on a variety of corporate financial advisory engagements, including mergers and acquisitions, private placements, and financial restructurings
  • Draft client marketing materials, including pitches, information memoranda and management presentations
  • Support the development of qualitative and quantitative analyses and presentation materials
  • Financial modeling and valuation analyses
  • Work with management teams and buyer/seller groups to coordinate due diligence efforts
  • Research industry trends, companies and investors
  • Other internal projects as needed or assigned
  • Maintain a positive and supportive firm culture, focused on the effective delivery of world-class service to our clients

 

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years’ experience in investment banking 
  • An undergraduate degree; outstanding academic achievement and demonstrated quantitative capability
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting, financial and valuation concepts
  • Motivated to develop high-quality work, attention to details, and takes initiative
  • Excellent quantitative and technical skills, including advanced Microsoft Office skill set
  • Self-motivated team player with proactive work habits and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented work environment
  • Client service mindset
  • Preferably FINRA licensed SIE and Series 79 and 63
