We're now on the hunt for a brilliant Chief Marketing Officer so we can go to the next level!

As our Chief Marketing Officer, you’ll be influential in leading the business through an exciting three-year growth phase, shaping and executing our marketing strategy across both the digital platform and Technology Academy arms of the business. You’ll lead our high-performing marketing team, inspiring them to drive forward innovative campaigns, stories and customer experiences that spread the Bright Network word and maximise our brand reach - making a lasting impact on both future generations entering the workplace, and organisations hiring the best and most diverse talent. 

What does this look like in action? 

  • Join Bright Network’s Executive team, shaping and executing our long-term marketing strategy across our vast B2B & B2C audiences at scale 
  • Represent marketing at board level, providing strategic input on Bright Network’s ambitious growth plans and wider business strategy (ensuring goals and objectives for the marketing team support these) 
  • Collaborate with the leaders of our three business units (Digital Platform in both the UK & Germany + our Technology Academy) to ensure the marketing team supports them in achieving their respective commercial, brand & growth targets – adapting your approach to each business unit depending on their maturity & needs 
  • Ensure a strong, bold and unified brand story is clearly articulated across our different audiences leveraging our 10-year track record in the market to continue building our presence and reputation across the industry through a clear PR & communications strategy 
  • Leading conversations and market-disrupting initiatives through expert thought leadership 
  • Leverage an in-depth knowledge of our customers to effectively partner with leaders across Product, Technology & Commercial in ensuring our B2B & B2C customer lifecycles are optimised 
  • Take full accountability for performance of the marketing team – building & leading a high-performance team, enabling their continuous growth & development to deliver bigger, better & bolder marketing campaigns 
  • Review, iterate and implement the marketing decision-making systems, tools & processes - developing industry leading insight capability for marketing and product decisions

  • You’re an experienced CMO or marketing leader with a proven track record inspiring high-performing marketing teams to deliver against ambitious targets in high-growth environments (ideally VC/PE backed businesses) 
  • You’re an empowering, intelligent, results-oriented and inspirational leader, confident in your ability to bring the best out those you work with, enabling them to deliver their best work 
  • You know that working in a fast-paced environment means getting hands on – you're willing to muck in to help your teams be successful, but know when to step back to ensure there’s always an eye on the bigger picture 
  • You’re daring and experimental in your approach to marketing – you prefer going big and failing, to staying safe and never learning 
  • You’re a strategic thinker – unafraid to challenge the status quo & those you’re working with if it means getting the right outcome for the business & our customers 
  • You’re analytical & confident in your ability to use data to track and continuously improve marketing results 
  • You’re confident communicating at board level, as well as inputting into overall business-wide strategy, direction & decision-making 
  • You take a business-first approach and feel confident balancing the representation of the marketing function with wider strategic priorities

  • Location: Liverpool Street, London (with hybrid-working) & occasional travel to Edinburgh to collaborate with our Tech & Product teams 
  • Remuneration: Highly competitive & dependent on experience 
  • Start date: ASAP 
  • Reporting line: CEO & Founder

  • Intro call with our People team 
  • Introductory chemistry meeting with our CEO & Founder 
  • Competency interview with another member of our Executive team 
  • Panel half day – including a presentation, values & culture interview & opportunity to meet the team 
  • Final round interview with a member of our board
