Join Bright Network as our Country Manager, Germany!

Introducing Bright Network:

At Bright Network, we use technology & data to connect ambitious young people from all backgrounds with the brightest career opportunities. Our leading platform provides our 900,000+ members with the tools, advice and insights they need to access brilliant opportunities at global companies. We ensure the next generation finds the future they deserve and the 300+ businesses we partner with identify the most powerful pipeline of tomorrow’s talent.

Here at Bright Network, we are now 18 months into our expansion in Germany and have already seen some great success, including building an engaged base of over 40,000 members, signing leading employer partners (including Allianz, Bloomberg, BlackRock and Budweiser), and engaging 100+ potential partners in popular thought leadership events. We are now looking for a Country Manager to join us in this exciting period of growth!

The Role:

As our Country Manager, you will drive our expansion into Germany and act as our lead representative in the market. You will have full responsibility over P&L and Germany’s strategy, all whilst managing an ambitious and dedicated German team of three. You will collaborate with a number of our central and UK teams – collaboration really is at the heart of our business!

Specifically, you will…

  • Set the Go-To-Market strategy based on clear insights into your market and lead a cross-functional team who support our employers and our students across Sales, Partner Success and Marketing.
  • Act as the face of the company in the market, building relationships with key partners, clients and prospects whilst playing an active role in our commercial efforts.
  • Shape our positioning and brand messaging to have a compelling and differentiated narrative that fuels both short-term pipeline and long-term efforts – both for our employers and students.
  • Manage the P&L in the German market, achieving revenue and EBITDA targets as well as setting and monitoring performance indicators.
  • Collaborate effectively with central teams such as Product, Tech and Finance, as well as our UK Sales, Marketing and Partner Success teams.

Why work as a Country Manager at Bright Network?

  • You will take on a market that is both off to a strong start (post-revenue, good NPS and tangible insights into what works and what doesn’t) and is still early enough for you to shape its success and turn it into a mature business.
  • You will be leading one of the major growth areas in the business, with regular exposure to the Exec Team and direct input into our wider strategy.
  • You’ll work in a high performing German team and alongside an extremely collaborative and supportive UK-based team.
  • You will help us to have the same societal impact we’ve made in the UK over the last 10 years and contribute to a German workforce built on their own merit, not who they know or what they look like.

Does this sound like you?

  • You're an experienced business leader from a sales and marketing background in a business with a highly consultative sales cycle and a focus on healthy ongoing client relationships.
  • You have a proven track record of launching into a new market from scratch or at an early stage, driving revenue growth and ultimately profitability.
  • You have the entrepreneurial spirit to transform a successful start into a meaningful market share, with a focus on constant curiosity, the ability to continuously learn and adapt our strategy in the market, and hands on execution – you won’t require a big team or large budgets to get things done.
  • You must be a fluent German speaker with full professional proficiency in English as you will be working with German-based clients and a wider UK team.

If your experience looks a little different to that outlined, we’d still be keen to hear from you if this is a role that excites you and one that you think you could really excel in!

  • A flat & transparent structure with a values-driven & collaborative culture 🤲
