SCOPE OF ROLE
Centrum Health, a part of NeueHealth, which is a Bright Health Group company, is seeking a Risk Adjustment Trainer to develop and deliver training to providers medical coding and billing department associates.
Create and deliver training content based on coding and documentation guidelines for Providers and Coders.
Evaluate chart review audits results and customize Providers’ training based on findings.
Update Medical Coding and Billing Team on new ICD-10-CM updates, CPT and HCPCS updates, Risk Adjustment coding news and regulatory updates.
Research and analysis of coding errors trend
Participate in meetings with Providers to answer questions related to documentation and coding
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Current coding certification through AAPC or AHIMA,
Exceptional knowledge in ICD-10-CM coding for Risk Adjustment
Expertise and understanding risk adjustment multiple models (ACA, Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial) and mapping.
Excellent communication skill and experience educating Providers and Coders.
Effective remote training skills.
Strong knowledge on medical terminology, medical abbreviations, pharmacology, and disease processes.
Deep expertise in finding coding resources and answering specific coding questions.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Minimum of 5 years overall coding experience with a minimum of 3 years in Risk Adjustment.
LICENSURES AND CERTIFICATIONS
One or more of the following accreditations: CPC, CCS, RHIA
Risk adjustment and auditing credentials desire: CRC, CPC, CDEO.
Registered Nurse license
The majority of work responsibilities are performed in an open office setting, carrying out detailed work sitting at a desk/table and working on the computer
Travel will be required to Providers office (50%). This is not a work at home position.
