SCOPE OF ROLE
The Technical Writer will create and maintain Operations policies, incorporating input from multi-disciplinary subject matter experts including but not limited to Operations, Compliance, Cost Management, and Line of Business.
The Technical Writer description is intended to point out major responsibilities within the role, but it is not limited to these items.
Write & proof policies using a pre-defined template for new policies
Interview and collaborate with subject matter experts to develop content for new policies and processes for documenting operational oversight and adherence with established policies.
Develop and maintain a directory of operations policies with structure and cadence for review to ensure current and accurate policies.
Collaborate with operational leaders to ensure that operational policies are aligned with desktop level procedures (DLPs) and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Collaborate with compliance to ensure that operational policies are aligned with overall compliance policies

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in technical, engineering, or related field required.
5+ years of experience in corporate or agency environment, experience in copywriting, content development & proofreading required.
Able to provide portfolio in interview.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) required.
Ability to develop copy in a fast-paced environment.
Work independently when appropriate, but leverage creative & marketing teammates, cross-functional team members and direct manager.
Collaborative and creative partner who is able to work with a variety of stakeholders across the organization.
Stay abreast of compliance while applying best practices in order to balance operational/functional feasibility.
Ability to build strong working relationships with the compliance and operational teams
Serve as a positive, energetic, collaborative and compassionate creative partner to a variety of stakeholders across the organization.
Quick study, flexible and able to handle a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment.
Effective interpersonal, influence, collaboration and listening skills.
Ability to work independently; results driven; able to be flexible and work with ambiguity.
The majority of work responsibilities are performed in an open office setting, carrying out detailed work sitting at a desk/table and working on the computer. Some travel may be required.
