The Bright Health Business Distribution team is a critical component of Bright’s continual success as it drives the overall membership enrollment process and strategy. As our Community Relations Representative they work to build and maintain strong relationships with local individuals and organizations to increase membership enrollment. You will serve as a point of contact for Bright Health in your designated market location.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES The Community Relations Representative job description is intended to point out major responsibilities within the role, but it is not limited to these items.
1. Responsible for developing and maintaining new contacts and/or partnerships in the community. Manage day-to-day community activities including recurring sales camps, large events. 2. Develops and executes community relations and lead generation strategies. 3. Document and manage community contacts and sales events using Quickbase platform. 4. Identify, develop and build relationships with community organizations, provider offices and faith-based organizations 5. Organize activities including sales events to enhance Bright Health’s presence in the community 6. Assist members and potential members with benefit and/or enrollments inquiries 7. Conducts presentations to increase effectiveness in establishing rapport, assessing individual needs, and communicating product/benefit features and differences 8. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE • High school diploma required, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. • Two (2) or more years of experience in Healthcare and/or Community Development is preferred. • Experience and knowledge of the market location healthcare space is required. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, web-based applications and use of the internet required
PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, web-based applications and use of the internet • Extraordinary verbal and written communication skills, experience delivering polished presentations and possess a solid of understanding of how and when to ask for the close • Self-starter who is eager to utilize each opportunity to enroll eligible prospects
LICENSURES AND CERTIFICATIONS • An active, unrestricted State Health Insurance license is preferred, but not required. • A valid driver’s license and access to a motor vehicle with valid motor vehicle insurance required
WORK ENVIRONMENT The majority of work responsibilities are performed in an open office setting, carrying out detailed work sitting at a desk/table and working on the computer. Some travel may be required. Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
