About Your Role

The Equity Analyst will work closely with the Portfolio Manager (PM) and other members of our research team to develop and test investment ideas, strategies, and research. The Analyst will be an expert in the Technology sector with the goal of advancing team knowledge and understanding of current industry fundamentals, company fundamentals, and regulatory developments, while independently developing investment ideas (long and short) within the domain.

Ideal candidates should be passionate about investing, have a growth mindset, have a strong competitive spirit, and be relentless in their efforts to perform well. Prior experience on a high performing team is required, regardless of domain.

You will drive the following responsibilities:

  • Conduct original, fundamental research and translate key learnings into actionable investment decisions
  • Develop logical, comprehensive frameworks for the on-going assessment of industry and company fundamentals
  • Attend industry meetings to develop a detailed understanding of key value drivers
  • Articulate investment ideas in a clear and concise manner

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of fundamental equity research experience on the buyside, preferably alternative investment firm experience
  • Strong academic credentials with either post-graduate qualifications (MBA or CFA) or relevant industry experience
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills; experience working with and analyzing large datasets
  • Strong accounting knowledge and financial modeling skills required.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce insightful investment research and passion for investing

Physical Requirements 

For most of our roles, Bridgewater offers remote work flexibility, with most employees required to work on campus as their principal work location, a minimum of two days (and in some cases three days) per week with the option to work offsite on other days. 

Compensation Band

The expected annual base salary for this position is $175,000-$300,000.The total compensation package includes variable compensation in the form of a discretionary target bonus.
