About the Human Resources Department

The Human Resources Department has started to move from a renovation to a transformative phase by a continued focus on operational excellence and providing value to the customer.  Today, Human Resources services span the gamut between providing basic information to employees regarding policies to partnering with managers to think through human capital implications. Through focused and interdepartmental initiatives, the Human Resources Department has moved towards automation and centralization of transactional work to create efficiencies and to raise the level of service offered to the enterprise.

About Your Role

We are currently seeking a Senior Compensation Consultant to join our Total Rewards Team. The Senior Consultant will be responsible for helping to influence, design, and drive forward, firmwide compensation programs using a data-first approach. This person will have a unique opportunity to inform and shape our compensation practices through market data analysis, modeling, and process and tool development. 

You will drive the following responsibilities: 

  • Drive enablement of our compensation strategy by supporting company-wide compensation projects including developing and implementing compensation policies and practices, bonus plans, long-term incentive plans, etc. 
  • Analyze and synthesize varied data in a structured and systemized way, including external data-gathering and triangulation of best practices. 
  • Oversee year-end compensation process activities with a broad scope of responsibilities, from partnering with key business stakeholders, analyzing results and exceptions, ensuring process quality control, as well as partnering with payroll. 
  • Synthesize overall and nuanced trends in marketplace compensation to form compensation recommendations and present to senior leadership. 
  • Support development, ongoing maintenance, and education of Bridgewater’s job architecture. 
  • Leverage project management capabilities across a broad scope of compensation initiatives. 
  • Evaluate and improve the compensation processes and tools at Bridgewater. 
  • Proactively identify and pursue opportunities to advance/improve processes. 
  • Interface with key market data vendors and external partners.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years’ relevant work experience in a compensation analysis, deliverable-focused, fast-paced environment. 
  • Proven track record of handling and maintaining highly confidential information. 
  • Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, report building, etc.). 
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; quantitative-focused major preferred or equivalent experience. 

Physical Requirements

For most of our roles, Bridgewater offers remote work flexibility, with most employees required to work on campus as their principal work location, a minimum of two days (and in some cases three days) per week with the option to work offsite on other days.

Compensation

The wage range for this role is $200,000 - $275,000 inclusive of base salary and discretionary target bonus. The expected base salary for this role is between 70% - 90% of this wage range.
