About the Security Group:

About the Role:

Our team is looking to hire a hire a Senior Architect to drive the security architecture of cutting-edge technology underlying the company's applications and services to define and implement secure-by-default and defense-in-depth strategies. This individual will play a leadership role in the security department and development communities, setting direction for key technologies and serving as a subject matter expert. A key portion of this role will be to secure and provide programmatic improvements broadly to services, making technical trade-offs between short- and long-term business goals.

You will drive the following responsibilities:

Shape the security design of the company's applications and services to define and implement secure-by-default and defense-in-depth strategies across a functional area
Advise, oversee and audit the secure delivery of technology solutions across their architectural lifecycle throughout the entirety of the SDLC
Partner deeply with other security functions, including Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) to ensure quality risk governance decisions in support of business outcomes
Evaluate and prioritize risks, both directly through activities like threat modeling, and via deep partnership with security knowledgeable colleagues in Technology
Hold control owners accountable to have clear capability definitions for their control, with an understanding of gaps and prioritized potential solutions for those gaps
Coordinate with Security Engineering on the prioritization and execution of industrialized controls to close our most important gaps
Ensure that Security and Tech leadership are equipped with accurate pictures for a given area – including the risks, controls, value proposition, and state of underpinning technology

Position Requirements

S. or higher in Computer Science or equivalent experience
5+ years of security architecture experience
Proven track-record of operating with a high degree of confidentiality and responsibility
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to author and present materials ranging from detailed technical specifications to high-level presentations for consumption by technical/business stakeholders and by senior management
Preferred cloud experience and qualifications: Microsoft, AWS, or Google architecture, development, and operations.
Preferred security qualifications: CISSP, CCSK/CCSP, CISSP-ISSEP/ISSAP, CSSLP, SABSA SCF/SCP/SCM

Physical Requirements

This role is offered with fully-remote flexibility and can be performed from anywhere within the United States. This approach is role specific and each team will have some slight variations that we will be able to describe in more detail throughout the recruiting process.

Compensation

The wage range for this role is $335,000 - $475,000 inclusive of base salary and discretionary target bonus. The expected base salary for this role is between 70% - 80% of this wage range.
