We are searching for a skilled Platform Engineer with expertise in AWS, GitLab, and DevOps practices to join our dynamic team. As a Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps processes. You will collaborate closely with development, operations, and quality assurance teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our platform.
Here’s what you’ll do
Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS according to best practices.
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD to automate software delivery and deployment.
Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps practices into the software development lifecycle.
Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
Monitor and optimize the performance, availability, and cost of AWS resources and GitLab pipelines.
Troubleshoot issues related to cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and applications.
Develop and maintain documentation for cloud architecture, CI/CD processes, and DevOps practices.
Stay up to date with the latest AWS services, GitLab features, and DevOps best practices.
Provide technical guidance and support to development teams on AWS, GitLab, and DevOps practices.
Here’s what you need to be successful
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related experience
Proven experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role
Strong understanding of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, etc.
Experience with GitLab CI/CD or similar CI/CD tools
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes is a plus
Familiarity with Git version control system
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
Graduate degree in CS or other relevant field of study
Experience using Kubernetes, EKS, Terraform and Ansible
Additional certifications correlating with Site Reliability Engineering
