The Regional Manager, Line Maintenance reports to the Director of Maintenance (DOM) with authority for directing all line maintenance activities and servicing of company aircraft at regional maintenance bases. The Manager is responsible for the scheduling and building of staffing models to execute the requirements of the Breeze Maintenance Inspection Program while ensuring maintenance personnel under his/her direction are trained and qualified to perform assigned tasks. Serves as the primary Technical Operations focal point for the assigned geographic region while supporting and coordinating daily activities between Maintenance Operations Control, IOCC, and Station Operations requiring effective communication skills and leadership.
Here’s what you’ll do
- Direct regional line maintenance activities and servicing of company aircraft
- Ensure all work performed is compliant per the Breeze General Maintenance Manual (GMM), company policies, procedures, Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR’s)
- Maintain a direct line of communication with MOC and Maintenance Planning to ensure all routine and non-routine work is accomplished per described schedule
- Ensure MOC is updated and informed of aircraft status related to technical delays and Out-of-Service (OOS) time
- Ensures all line maintenance facilities, aircraft ground support equipment, including tooling are well maintained and calibrated
- Develop and continuously improve processes and procedures to ensure best practices and an elevated level of operational performance
- Develop and deliver Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports on operational performance and goals
- Support recruiting efforts to include interviews, candidate assessment, and participation in local hiring events
- Take a significant role in the development and training of Team Members to support engagement, growth, and performance including TechOps Committee groups
- Build, manage, and maintain capital and operating budgets with the DOM
- Support the company CASS by assisting and implementing corrective actions to internal or FAA related audits
- Manage and support SMS related activities, including the promotion and reporting of safety related concerns and identification of hazards
- Foster an environment where quality, safety, and compliance are everyone's concern
- Perform other duties as assigned by the DOM
- Achieve performance measures and adhere to established standards in conjunction with Breeze Values of Safety, Kindness, Integrity, Ingenuity and Excellence
Here’s what you need to be successful
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent educational achievement
- Must hold a current, valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant License (A&P) with no history of infractions
- Ten years of Aviation Maintenance experience including at least five years of leadership with progressing responsibilities
- Understanding and working knowledge of FAA regulations including CFR 121
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must have a valid passport with no travel restrictions
- Must have authorization to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
- Must be flexible and willing to work various shifts such as days, nights, weekends, and holidays if needed
- Must be willing to travel 40% of the time
- Must be willing to work with other departments within the company as needed
- Must pass a DOT pre-employment drug test
- Must pass a TSA required fingerprint-based criminal history records check and a Breeze background check
Preferred Qualifications
- Ten years of CFR 121 air carrier line maintenance experience
- Five years in leadership roles
- Experience maintaining Embraer EJet and Airbus family aircraft
- Experience with maintenance planning, including familiarization with a Maintenance Information System such as TRAX
- Degree in Aerospace, Aviation Maintenance, or Business
- Understanding of Safety Management System (SMS) rules
Skills/Talents
- Skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Analytical skillset using tools such as Power BI and Tableau
- Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate to Leadership
- Must be able to manage high-stress situations
- Ability to collaborate with fellow Team Members
- Ability to multi-task easily
- Must be fluent in English
