Breeze’s Safety and Occupational Health Specialist is responsible for the airline OSHA program development and Safety Program support.  Conducts audits and evaluations, analyzes data, and generates reports in addition to the safety duties as described below.

Here’s what you’ll do

  • Responsible for Occupational Safety and Health Administration
  • Track and trend all OSHA events, reports and provide mitigation strategies
  • Ensures compliance with all OSHA events
  • Assist with Safety Programs such as FOQA, ASAP, OSHA Compliance and IEP which includes conducting internal inspections, audits, evaluations, and providing input for improvement
  • Conduct on-sight Station audits and inspections
  • Assist in the development of the Environmental Program (FAA/EPA compliance)
  • Develop and support the Sustainability Program
  • Provide feedback for additional safety initiatives and programs
  • Communicate safety issues and cooperate with all Team Members and business partners to address concerns
  • Participate in Safety Committee meetings, conferences, and continuing education programs as assigned
  • Assist departments with educating, implementing, and maintaining safety policies and procedures across the Airline
  • Assist in managing the Safety and Security program training records in the Breeze LMS
  • Meet regularly with the Safety and Security team regarding safety issues and OSHA reporting/compliance
  • Achieve performance measures and adhere to established standards in conjunction with Breeze Aviation Group Values of Safety, Kindness, Integrity, Ingenuity and Excellence

Here’s what you need to be successful

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4-year degree from an accredited university or equivalent
  • 2+ years Airline experience
  • 2+ years OSHA experience
  • OSHA 10 DOL Card
  • Experienced in airline Safety Programs
  • Ability to travel regularly

Preferred Qualifications

  • Aviation Safety or other related industry-specific degree
  • OSHA 30 DOL Card
  • Experience with aviation-focused/airline SMS
  • Experience as an Airline Auditor
  • Experience with Vistair, Navitaire, and MINT
  • FAA license/certificate for Dispatch, A&P, or Pilot

Technical Skills/Abilities                                                                 

  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite required
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite preferred
  • Skilled in data analytics and intelligence software
  • High performance orientation, ability to work well under pressure, prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and maintain flexibility
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
