Position Summary
Breeze is seeking a motivated Accounting Intern who is ready to apply knowledge of financial terms and principles to an authentic real-world experience. The intern will assist with a wide range of duties, including analyzing data, preparing financial reports, and learning about varied accounting activities. This is an exciting opportunity for any student pursuing a career in finance.
Essential Functions
Assist with month-end close
Reconcile accounts
Prepare journal entries
Help create and document processes
Look for improved ways to handle new tasks
Review of fixed assets/ expense accounts to ensure proper coding
Capitalize and set up fixed assets Work In Process account to more easily track expenses
Other tasks assigned as needed
Achieve performance measures and adhere to established standards in conjunction with Breeze Aviation Group Values of Safety, Kindness, Integrity, Ingenuity, and Excellence
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent educational achievement
Working towards a degree in accounting or Finance
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and payroll software programs
Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail
Detailed knowledge of relevant legal regulations
General understanding of the Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP)
High performance orientation, ability to work well under pressure, prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and maintain flexibility
Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
Self-starter must have a positive attitude and strong desire for success

Airline experience
SOX compliance experience
