Position Summary

Breeze is seeking a motivated Accounting Intern who is ready to apply knowledge of financial terms and principles to an authentic real-world experience. The intern will assist with a wide range of duties, including analyzing data, preparing financial reports, and learning about varied accounting activities. This is an exciting opportunity for any student pursuing a career in finance.

Essential Functions

  • Assist with month-end close
  • Reconcile accounts
  • Prepare journal entries
  • Help create and document processes
  • Look for improved ways to handle new tasks
  • Review of fixed assets/ expense accounts to ensure proper coding
  • Capitalize and set up fixed assets Work In Process account to more easily track expenses
  • Other tasks assigned as needed
  • Achieve performance measures and adhere to established standards in conjunction with Breeze Aviation Group Values of Safety, Kindness, Integrity, Ingenuity, and Excellence

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent educational achievement
  • Working towards a degree in accounting or Finance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and payroll software programs
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Detailed knowledge of relevant legal regulations
  • General understanding of the Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP)
  • High performance orientation, ability to work well under pressure, prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and maintain flexibility
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
  • Self-starter must have a positive attitude and strong desire for success

Preferred Qualifications

  • Airline experience
  • SOX compliance experience
