Requirements
Design, develop and maintain programs, applications and databases as requested using designated programming languages and architecture in support of multiple divisions processing medical information such as claims, eligibility, encounters and other related information, as well as other electronic services with vendors and customers both internal and external. Develop and maintain other eCommerce applications as needed.
What you’ll be working on
- Design, develop, maintain or rewrite software for any division or external clients as determined by the VP of Information Services and as directed by the Director of Data Development.
- Develop new applications for internal use as directed.
- Assists or leads other team members as needed.
- Provide weekly updates on project accomplishments to Director of Data Development.
- Learn and utilize new programming languages, methods, platforms and techniques as requested.
- Track project time using designated software.
- Ensure data integrity, accountability and confidentiality of medical data.
- Actively involved in internal departmental procedures.
- Engaged in continuous quality improvement through participation in staff meetings and providing feedback on an annual basis.
- Evaluates policies and procedures on an annual basis.
- Identifies areas in work flow in need of process improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 years or more of programming experience.
- Proficiency in AS400 iSeries, Microsoft SQL Server, COBOL, RPG and/or RPG FREE.
- Ability to read and follow project documents and plans.
- Experience in database design and development skills.
- Experience in enterprise software background.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Experience with Healthcare Claims platforms, Eligibility modules specifically, a plus.
