We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer (Frontend) to join our team of developers building the next generation of the Patient Portal and Payment applications. You are a senior developer who demonstrates design & engineering excellence and has experience building web applications, preferably in public and private cloud environments. You are an excellent communicator and nimble learner who embraces the challenges and complexity of working in the healthcare space.

- Review lab results and submit medical forms
- Securely message their providers
- Quickly and securely pay their providers for treatments and provide insight into their past payments

Job Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and contribute individually to code and system design/development as part of an Agile team consisting of Engineers, a Scrum Master, a Product Owner, and an Experience Designer
- Collaborate inclusively with cross-functional team members to develop product solutions and promote productivity and effectiveness; mentor and advise engineer team members; take ownership of what the team builds and coordinate efforts to ensure proper completion
- Develop knowledge to act as a domain expert; share business and technical insights with the broader engineering and product organization
Typical Qualifications
- Ideally, 8+ years of software engineering experience with significant product development expertise
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Extensive web application development experience with focus on the frontend (eg. MicroUI architecture, responsive designs)
- Proficient with the Javascript, Typescript and React framework (including advanced concepts like hooks, portals)
- Ability to write code that is technically sound, performant, scalable, and readable
- Ability to lead teams/technical projects including technical design, scoping and estimation
- Experience with deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins along with git, bitbucket and other sourcecode repositories preferred
- Any testing framework (e.g. Jest, Cypress) and GraphQL experience would be a bonus
- Experience in building accessible web applications and portals would be a bonus
