Digital is an exciting cross-vertical practice within Oliver Wyman delivering world-class applications to our clients to drive sustained business impact. As an engineer in OW Digital, you’ll help build and support high-quality software solutions and contribute to architectural solutions across the full technology stack from database to analytics to web interfaces, with a focus on back-end work. You’ll work in a close-knit team environment alongside other top-tier talent in our development hubs in Dublin, London, Boston, Sydney and other locations worldwide. We are growing quickly, which provides you an opportunity to shape a new team anchored by existing senior leadership. You’ll be expected to continually develop your programming and professional development.

What you’ll be working on

Requirements:

  • Database Administration – security, file management, backup/restore processes, performance, etc.
  • Strong experience writing and troubleshooting SQL queries, stored procedures, etc.
  • Strong experience with data engineering (Database Design, Data ETL, data management, etc) 
  • Experience working on cloud deployed solutions in AWS and/or Azure
  • Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, complexity
  • Front-end or full-stack application experience, using Node.JS, .NET or Java
  • Strong analysis, documentation, and communication skills
  • IT Service Management best practices: follows good ticket management / update process – keeps tickets updated regularly
  • Excellent client management skills: sets clear expectations and updates with external and internal clients
  • Fluency in English (verbal and written)

Not Required but Desired Skills:

  • Experience with full stack development and practices
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and high-performance JavaScript
  • Knowledge of further code stacks/frameworks: Python, NoSQL, .NET, Docker, AWS.
