Our client is building talent pool of sustainability experts (i.e. climate, solar, wind, sustainability prod design, sustainability strategy, etc.) These SMEs are expected to contribute 10-15 hours per week.  

 

Work you’ll do

 

The client is building a community of Contractors to support their clients in transforming their work, workforce and workplace in ways that lead to adaptability, a leading edge on competition, and greater return on total workforce investment. We are seeking capabilities in our Sustainability, Climate & Equity (Sustainability) Strategic Growth Offering across the following key areas:

 

  • Sustainability: Advise clients on the future of work for their industry and bring perspectives around the workforce changes required as a result of changes to work; facilitate and manage client conversations around the future of the workforce; build materials in Microsoft Office to create strategies, Operating Models, processes, and technology recommendations around the future of the workforce. 

  • Climate: Advise clients on their Performance and Talent Management strategies; facilitate and manage client conversations around Performance and Talent Management leading practices and client needs; build materials in Microsoft Office to create strategies, Operating Models, processes, and technology recommendations around Performance and Talent Management

  • Sustainability-focused systems and technology:  Demonstrated expertise in sustainability-driven implementation and optimization of one of the following areas: SAP, Oracle’s Sustainability Packages, Digital Twins and Simulation, Asset Management and Optimization, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Industrial Technologies, Sustainable Product Design, Clean Building & Construction.

  • Natural Assets: Act as a subject matter expert in one of the following areas: Natural Resource Management, Water Resources, Biodiversity, Conservation.

Work you’ll do

 

As a Sustainability Strategic Growth Offering Contractor, you will use your expertise in relevant Sustainability-focused fields to help advance and seek projects across our offering portfolios and industries as needed. 

  • Provide subject matter expertise in sustainability to project teams and clients across a variety of industries

  • Develop and implement sustainability strategies and initiatives to meet project team or client needs

  • Conduct research and analysis on sustainability topics and provide insights and recommendations to project teams or clients

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in sustainability

  • Work collaboratively with project teams and clients to achieve sustainability goals

  • Provide guidance on sustainability reporting and disclosure

  • Support the development of proposals and client presentations related to sustainability

  • Be available to work on short-term or long-term projects as needed, depending on your availability and the needs of the business

 

Qualifications

 

Required:

  • Senior to mid-senior level candidates with deep subject matter expertise in relevant sustainability topics

  • At least 7 years of experience in sustainability or a related field

  • In-depth knowledge of sustainability frameworks, standards, and reporting requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing sustainability strategies and initiatives

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to conduct research and provide insights and recommendations

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients and project teams

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

  • Willingness to be part of a talent pool of contractors and work on short-term or long-term projects as needed

Preferred:

  • 10+ years of experience in sustainability or a related field (Listed below)

  • Previous consulting experience, preferably within a Big 4 firm or any firm with similar size and scope of clients

  • Strong client presence with project management, presentation, and facilitation skills

  • Ability to succeed in team-based or independent environments 

  • Well-organized with the ability to handle several projects/clients simultaneously 

  • Strong oral and written communication skills 

  • Ability to create and manage client relationships and develop business 

  • Dedicated work ethic with a commitment to client service excellence
