At Atlassian, the Strategy & Business Operations team is a high impact team that works closely with business leaders across the company. Our team takes a lead role in driving strategy, growth, and business operations. You’ll own projects from inception to execution and delivery, ensuring that the strategies you develop are creative and offer high-quality and impactful recommendations to business partners.
What you’ll be working on
Key responsibilities include:
- Drive and influence the long-term vision for Atlassian’s user-facing platform capabilities
- Partner directly with product and go-to-market teams to support the delivery of strategic recommendations and analyses
- Build financial and analytical models to identify measurable insights, exercise sound business judgement, and develop recommendations to influence and drive consensus across functional leaders
- Define appropriate goals/OKRs to track progress against strategic objectives
- Keep a tight pulse on business performance and reporting, including "quarterbacking" a cross functional team to diagnose problems when they occur
On your first day, we'll expect you to have:
- Experience in corporate strategy, product/platform strategy, strategic finance, or similar, and have a foundational understanding of platform and SaaS business models
- Demonstrated experience in contributing to business case development/strategic recommendations from end-to-end Proficiency in financial modeling and building revenue and cost drivers
- Experience supporting qualitative and quantitative customer or market research
- Excellent verbal & written communications skills
Great to have, but not required:
- Industry experience in SaaS or platform business models
- Experience using SQL for analysis
- Knowledge of BI tools and technologies (e.g. Tableau)
