Requirements

  • 4+ years in a technical customer service or product-focused role.
  • 4+ years in software development and/or mobile app development.
  • M.S. degree in engineering, computer science, or relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with APIs and SDKs, SSO and web service protocols, and PWA.
  • Passion for data science, open science, and creating high-impact scalable solutions.

What you’ll be working on

This 3-year position will help CMI, through its partnership with California’s Department of Health Care Services.

  • Act as the technical authority for external and internal partners including understanding the up-to-date capabilities of MindLogger and its corresponding roadmap.
  • Rapidly prototype ideas and bring them to life when appropriate.
  • Lead the technical evaluation of proposed solutions for our product and strategic partnerships and demonstrate them to other members of the team.
  • Build strong relationships with partners, translating their objectives and requirements into effective solutions.
  • Establish the framework for necessary contributions from various teams and facilitate collaboration.
  • Support the sales process by providing technical expertise on digital products, including usage, architecture, functionality and deployment.[KS1] [YK2] 
  • Work with the product teams to understand the development of comprehensive integration support documentation for new products, features and integration into existing products.
  • Monitor technical requirements of existing digital products needed to move partnership and new business development initiatives forward. 

The Child Mind Institute (CMI) is looking for a driven and innovative Solutions Engineer. This 3-year position will help CMI, through its partnership with California’s Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), enable collaborations with researchers, clinicians, partners, and prospective customers to bring innovative digital solutions to children and youth with mental health and learning disorders.

The Solutions Engineer will evaluate proposed technical solutions and partnerships, translating their objectives and requirements into effective solutions. You will account for possible challenges and constraints to proposed solutions and maintain a high level of knowledge about our team's products including MindLogger, a platform that empowers clinicians, researchers, and educators to digitally deliver mental health assessments and interventions for children, teens, and young adults.

This position requires engagement with our product and strategic partnerships teams. You will have strong technical and people skills, and expertise in software engineering and mobile app development.
