Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience developing and designing ML technologies and systems.
- 3+ years of experience with NLP.
- Proficient in Python and related ML and NLP toolchains (such as pytorch, tensorflow, SpaCy, HuggingFace, NLTK, etc.)
- Hands-on industry experience training, evaluating, and deploying Machine Learning models while making necessary tradeoffs given the deployment context.
What you’ll be working on
This 3-year position will help CMI, through its partnership with California’s Department of Health Care Services.
- Design, implement, and maintain machine learning models with a focus on NLP and LLMs for real-world application in the mental health field.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ML solutions into our digital mental health tools.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines for training, evaluating, and deploying models.
- Leverage your expertise to create innovative solutions to complex problems using state-of-the-art ML methods.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in the field of NLP and LLMs, and incorporate relevant techniques into our solutions.
The Child Mind Institute (CMI) is seeking a Senior Machine Learning (ML) Engineer with expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLMs).
This 3-year position will help CMI, through its partnership with California’s Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), develop and implement innovative ML solutions that have the potential to make a significant impact in the lives of children and adolescents struggling with mental health issues.
The Senior ML Engineer will work closely with our team of researchers, clinicians, and software engineers to design, prototype, deploy and maintain applied ML solutions that will enhance our digital mental health tools.
