We're seeking a talented and personable Digital Strategist with Product and UX experience for our U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) client. In this role, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to enhancing service delivery and creating innovative solutions within VA Program Offices.
Important Skills:
- User advocate with the ability to simplify complex processes into clear and user-friendly workflows, user stories and interfaces.
- Ability to integrate and collaborate-cross functional disciplines, especially engineers, VA stakeholders, and collaboration partners to identify priorities and create a shared understanding as it relates to product direction.
- A consultative approach with an ability to understand client expectations, work as a team, navigate change with finesse, and be accountable for delivering against user needs and desires.
What you’ll be working on
Key Skillsets:
User-Centered Approach: You are a user advocate who excels at engaging diverse stakeholders in effective collaboration to simplify complex processes into user-friendly interfaces and actionable user stories for developers. You have a deep understanding of accessibility standards and can seamlessly design within established design systems.
Digital Storytelling: You're experienced in modern platforms and adaptable to new technologies as well as skilled in crafting user stories with agile methodologies. You use tools like JIRA for user-story development drive project progress.
Collaborative Skills: You possess strong design skillsets and product management experience ensuring a shared understanding of UX and broader product goals.
Consultative Approach: You take a consultative approach understanding client expectations, shaping project scopes and client engagement, helping to coordinate the team to ensure accountability for delivering user-centric solutions.
Your Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with program leadership, product managers, engineers, designers, and researchers to deliver inclusive, accessible, and impactful user experiences.

Use discovery methods that involve users in understanding their experiences and share insights with stakeholders to guide decision-making.

Proactively gather user insights and translate them into compelling user stories and build a strong backlog of product requirements.

Design, test, and iterate on features to refine the user experience, making necessary fixes based on user feedback.

Create various deliverables, including user flows, wireframes, flowcharts, user stories, journey maps, and service blueprints to drive the product vision.
