To support Japan’s rapid growth, Box is looking for a Tokyo based Sales Operations member. You will be an integral part of the operational backbone of the company and will have cross-functional interactions with other departments, locally and globally.

Our ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to take initiative and solve problems of all shapes and sizes. This position requires extensive interaction with senior executives and staff members across sales, marketing, product management, finance, support, legal, and professional services. Success in this role will require establishing a close relationship with key members of these groups, building on collaboration and business thinking skills to assess requests and find solutions that meet stakeholder needs. A successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to proactively and effectively work together with all organizational levels within a fast-moving high-technology company, particularly interfacing between sales teams and internal cross-functional stakeholders.




  • Provide business, pricing, product knowledge, and analytical support to sales for large, complex, non-standard transactions
  • Responsible for SFDC data cleanup efforts, allowing us to tell accurate stories with our aggregated analysis and informing important decisions that will drive the future of our sales team
  • Support day to day transactional work such as validating, processing, routing, and closing out orders and deal registrations
  • Working closely with our US HQ and EMEA offices to help streamline aforementioned processes while communicating internally for cross region collaboration
  • Support the strategy of Japan Sales and Channel Ops to get to the next level of scale and success
  • Other sales activity support may be required



  • BA/BS or equivalent 4-year degree required
  • Fluent Japanese and Fluent level English capability (Native JP/EN not a must)
  • Comfortable in working with members in global offices on your own
  • Self-motivated, highly analytical, able to work independently as well as contribute to the team
  • 3+ years channel/sales operations, financial analysis or deal desk experience at a foreign capitalized company – ideally at software house
  • Firm grasp of Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and other Software-as-a-Service a plus
  • Start up experience very useful
